Biography:

Christopher "Chris" Tucker was born on August 31, 1971, in Atlanta, Georgia, as the youngest son of Mary Louise and Norris Tucker. He grew up in Decatur, Georgia, nurturing a passion for comedy that would eventually lead him to leave his hometown. After graduating from Columbia High School, Tucker set off to Los Angeles, where he chased his dreams of making people laugh through stand-up comedy and acting.

His talents didn't go unnoticed for long. In 1992, Tucker became a regular performer on the popular TV show "Def Comedy Jam." He made his film debut in "House Party 3" and went on to star alongside rapper Ice Cube in the iconic 1995 movie "Friday," which brought him critical acclaim and paved the way for an even more successful career.

In 1997, Tucker shared the screen with Charlie Sheen in "Money Talks" and Bruce Willis in "The Fifth Element," further establishing himself as a versatile and talented actor. However, he didn't return to his most memorable role from "Friday," Smokey, for the 2000 sequel "Next Friday." The reason? Tucker had undergone a spiritual transformation after filming "Money Talks" and became a born-again Christian.

In 1998, Tucker took on another memorable role as Detective James Carter in the martial arts action comedy "Rush Hour." He reprised this character in the sequels, "Rush Hour 2" and "Rush Hour 3," which not only allowed him to showcase his comedic timing but also his dramatic acting skills. Tucker shared an unbreakable bond with his co-star Jackie Chan, and he was also a close friend of the late pop icon Michael Jackson, who often invited Tucker to perform with him on stage and in his music videos.

In addition to his successful acting career, Tucker has been friends with former President Bill Clinton and even accompanied him on international trips. But when it came down to supporting his favorite candidate during the 2008 primaries, Tucker chose Barack Obama over Hillary Clinton. In February 2009, he participated in the NBA All-Star Weekend's Celebrity Game, further demonstrating his wide range of talents and interests.
