Born and raised between Melbourne, Victoria, and Bulman in Northern Territory, Australian actor Christopher Hemsworth made a name for himself playing Kim Hyde on the popular Australian television series "Home and Away" from 2004 to 2007. This role paved the way for his Hollywood career, which truly took off when he was cast as Thor in Marvel's 2011 blockbuster film of the same name. Since then, Hemsworth has become one of the world's highest-paid actors thanks to his impressive filmography and continued success in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In addition to his iconic role as the Norse God of Thunder, Hemsworth's film career has spanned various genres. He starred as Kirk in J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek" (2009), fought alongside Kristen Stewart in "Snow White and the Huntsman" (2012) and its sequel "The Huntsman: Winter's War" (2016).
