Biography:

Born on May 31, 1960, in the bustling city of New York, Christopher Nash Elliott was destined to bring laughter to countless lives. The youngest child of TV director Lee Peppers and Bob Elliott - a part of the successful comedy duo Bob and Ray - his creative genes were predetermined.

His journey into the world of comedy began when he joined Late Night with David Letterman as a writer in 1982. During his six-year tenure, Elliott crafted memorable sketches that left audiences in stitches. He then took on the challenge of creating and starring in the cult comedy series Get a Life, which ran for two seasons on Fox from 1990.

Throughout his career, Elliott has graced the silver screen in films such as Cabin Boy (1994), Scary Movie 2 (2001), and There's Something About Mary (1998). His versatile talent has also seen him land recurring roles on popular television shows like Everybody Loves Raymond (2003-2005), How I Met Your Mother (2009-2014), and Eagleheart (2011-2014).

His latest triumph has been his role as Roland Schitt, the eccentric father of Johnny Schitt in the Canadian television comedy series Schitt's Creek (2015-2020). For this performance, Elliott received a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.
