Born on May 18th, 1955, in Hong Kong, Chow Yun-Fat, once known as Donald Chow, is an esteemed actor who has left a significant mark in the world of cinema. His journey began in 1976 when he joined Goldig Films, at that time the third largest film company. Over his career, spanning decades, Chow has become synonymous with exceptional performances and unforgettable characters on screen.

Collaborating with renowned filmmaker John Woo, they created a series of action-packed Hong Kong films, collectively known as heroic bloodshed films - A Better Tomorrow, its sequel A Better Tomorrow II, The Killer, Once a Thief, and Hard Boiled. These collaborations established Chow's international reputation in the film industry.

However, his fame transcended beyond Hong Kong. In Hollywood, he was cast as Li Mu-bai in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and later as Sao Feng in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.
