Biography:
Born and raised in the sunny state of California, Cam Joslin Gigandet began his journey into the world of acting with a guest appearance on the hit TV series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation back in 2003. Over the next few years, he honed his craft with recurring roles on shows such as The Young and The Restless and Jack and Bobby, building up to his breakthrough performance in 2006 when he landed the role of Kevin Volchok on the popular teen drama series, The O.C.
Gigandet's career took a significant leap forward in December 2007 when Summit Entertainment cast him as James in the highly anticipated film adaptation of Stephanie Meyer's bestselling vampire trilogy, Twilight. This role not only brought Gigandet international recognition but also earned him a prestigious award at the 10th Annual Young Hollywood Awards in 2008, where he was named "One to Watch."
