Biography:

Born in Flushing, Queens on November 6, 1990, Bowen Yang has become a celebrated American actor, comedian, podcaster, and writer. His big break came in September 2018 when he was hired to join the writing staff of the iconic NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live (SNL) as it prepared for its 44th season. The following year, Yang was promoted to on-air cast status for SNL's 45th season – a first in the show's history.

This talented comic made history again when he became the first SNL featured player to be nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award in 2021. Before the 47th season, Yang was promoted to repertory status, solidifying his place among SNL legends.

Yang's charismatic presence has graced various television shows, including Girls5Eva, Ziwe, and The Other Two. He is also known for his role in the hit series Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens. In addition to his TV work, he has been featured in two highly-anticipated LGBTQ romantic comedies: Fire Island and Bros, both released in 2022.

Together with fellow comedy genius Matt Rogers, Yang co-hosts the popular podcast Las Culturistas, where they discuss all things pop culture and humor. In January 2019, Forbes magazine recognized his immense talent by naming him to their prestigious 30 Under 30 Hollywood & Entertainment list – a well-deserved accolade for this multi-talented artist.
