Born in Sweden on April 28, 1941, Ann-Margret Olsson is an accomplished actress, singer, and dancer known to the world simply as Ann-Margret. With a career spanning over six decades, she has captivated audiences with her talent and charm across film, television, and music.
Ann-Margret's big break came in 1960 when she was cast as the female lead opposite Elvis Presley in the musical romantic comedy "Viva Las Vegas." The chemistry between the two stars shone through in their performances, and Ann-Margret quickly became a household name.
Throughout the '60s, she continued to star in numerous films, including "Bye Bye Birdie," where her performance as Kim MacAfee earned her a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress. In 1965, Ann-Margret took on the role of a young poker player in "The Cincinnati Kid" alongside Steve McQueen and Edward G. Robinson.
