Andy Dick, born Andrew Thomlinson on December 21, 1965, in Charleston, South Carolina, is an accomplished American actor and comedian. His journey began as he immersed himself into the world of improvisational theater, studying at The Second City - a renowned comedy institution. Over the years, Dick has established a long-standing career as a stand-up comic, performing across the United States and releasing several successful comedy albums.

His transition to the small screen began with his first regular television role in 'The Ben Stiller Show' on Fox. In the mid-90s, he became a familiar face on NBC's 'NewsRadio' and took on a supporting character on 'Less than Perfect.' Additionally, he starred in two short-lived MTV series - 'The Andy Dick Show,' a sketch comedy show (2001), and a reality series called 'The Assistant' (2004).

Dick has become synonymous with his eccentric behavior and memorable antics on numerous Comedy Central Roasts, stand-up comedy performances, and late-night talk show appearances. However, his life has not been without its challenges. Andy Dick has struggled with drug addiction throughout his career, admitting to attempting rehabilitation programs 20 times by 2016. In 2022, following a conviction for an offense in 2018, he was ordered to register as a sex offender. Despite these difficulties, Dick's talent and resilience have allowed him to continue pursuing his passion for comedy and acting.
