Biography:

Born on March 22, 1969, Andreas Pietschmann is a multi-talented German actor known for his work on stage, screen, and radio. He discovered his love for acting after a stint in the Bundeswehr military service, where he found himself drawn to theater performances like Die Feuerzangenbowle. However, it was a serious car accident that ultimately led Pietschmann to pursue acting full time.

He began his formal training at the Bochum drama school from 1993 to 1996, followed by a four-year engagement with the Schauspielhaus Bochum drama theater. In 2000, he joined the Thalia Theater in Hamburg for one season before transitioning exclusively to film and television work in 2007.

In addition to his captivating performances on stage and screen, Pietschmann has lent his voice to several audiobooks including The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón, The Law of Dreams by Peter Behrens, Thanks for the Memories by Cecelia Ahern, and The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Díaz.

The actor's breakthrough role came with GSG 9 – Ihr Einsatz ist ihr Leben, where he played the sophisticated Konstantin "Konny" Brendorp from a noble family. More recently, Pietschmann has gained international recognition for his starring role as "The Stranger" in the hit Netflix series Dark.

Pietschmann's versatility has also led him to work at the Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin and take on guest roles in various television series. In his personal life, he lives in Berlin with his partner, actress Jasmin Tabatabai, and they have two children together: a daughter named Helena Leila (born July 5, 2009) and a son, Johan Anton (born August 13, 2013). Pietschmann is also stepfather to Tabatabai's daughter Angelina from her previous marriage.
