Biography:

Amanda Peet, born January 11th, 1972, is an accomplished American actress, writer and producer whose career has spanned over two decades. Starting with small roles in TV series, she eventually made her big-screen debut in the 1995 film "Animal Room."

Peet's talent was truly recognized when she portrayed Jill St. Claire in the hit comedy "The Whole Nine Yards" (2000). Since then, Amanda has showcased her versatility by taking on various roles in a range of films including "Saving Silverman" (2001), "High Crimes," "Changing Lanes," and "Igby Goes Down" (all 2002), as well as "Something's Gotta Give" (2003), "Identity" (2003), "Melinda and Melinda" (2004), "A Lot Like Love" (2005), "Syriana" (2005), "Battle for Terra" (2007), "Martian Child" (2008), "The X-Files: I Want to Believe" (2008), "Please Give" (2010), "Gulliver's Travels" (2010), "The Way, Way Back" (2013), "Identity Thief" (2013), and "Trust Me" (2013).

Amanda also found success on the small screen. She starred as Jacqueline Barrett in The WB's "Jack & Jill" from 1999 to 2001, Tina Morris in HBO's "Togetherness" between 2015 and 2016, and Jules on IFC's "Brockmire" from 2016 to 2020. In 2020, she took on the role of Betty Broderick in the second season of the anthology series "Dirty John."

Further expanding her creative horizons, Peet wrote and co-executive produced Netflix's "The Chair," which premiered in 2021. With an impressive body of work behind her, Amanda continues to captivate audiences with her performances on both the big screen and small.
