Alyssa Sutherland's journey began when her striking looks caught the eye of judges at the Queensland State Finals for Girlfriend Model Competition back in 1997. Amidst the crowd, her exceptional beauty simply couldn't be ignored, and she took home the title for the region. With that victory under her belt, Alyssa then went on to conquer the national stage, claiming another win at the end of that year.
Soon after her impressive achievements, Australian Vogue came calling, booking Sutherland for a shoot. This led to an introduction to the international fashion world in New York City. But it wasn't long before Alyssa started to feel restless, seeking something more than just the glamour of modeling.
In 2001, she took part in an Australian documentary titled "The Walk," which delved into the life of a model. As her interests shifted away from modeling and towards acting, she joined Endeavor talent agency, paving the way for her to land a role in the iconic film "The Devil Wears Prada."
