Biography:
Alicia Roanne Witt, an American actress, singer-songwriter, and pianist, showcased remarkable talent from a very young age. Possessing the ability to talk by two and read by four, Alicia was hailed as a child prodigy. Her exceptional skills were noticed by director David Lynch when he saw her recite Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet on the television show That's Incredible! at just five years old. This serendipitous encounter led to Witt being cast in the pivotal role of Alia, the flame-haired sister of Paul Atreides, in Dune (1984). Remarkably, she was only eight when filming began. Lynch continued to work with Witt both on screen and off, even before she earned her high school equivalency diploma at age 14. In addition to her acting pursuits, Alicia also studied piano at Boston University, where she excelled academically and went on to compete nationally.
