Biography:

Alan Wray Tudyk, born on March 16, 1971, is an American actor known for his diverse range of roles in film and television. He first captured audiences' hearts with his charming portrayal of Wash in the short-lived but beloved space Western drama series Firefly (2002–2003). The show gained a cult following after its cancellation, leading to the 2005 continuation film Serenity.

Tudyk has appeared in several high-profile films, including 28 Days (2000), A Knight's Tale (2001), Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (2004), and I, Robot (2004) where he provided both voice and motion capture for the character Sonny. His career continued to flourish with roles in 3:10 to Yuma (2007), Tucker & Dale vs. Evil (2010), Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011), 42 (2013), Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015), and Trumbo (2015).

A versatile talent, Tudyk has lent his voice to every Walt Disney Animation Studios film since 2012. He also voiced characters on the animated series American Dad! (2011–present) and played Dr. Noah Werner on the sitcom Suburgatory (2011–2014).

In addition to his work in live-action TV shows and films, Tudyk has found success in animation as well. He starred as a key character in the animated series Star vs. The Forces of Evil (2015–2019) and voiced Dangerboat in the series The Tick (2017–2019). In 2016, he played K-2SO in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, adding to his impressive list of memorable roles.

More recently, Tudyk portrayed Eric Morden/Mr. Nobody on the series Doom Patrol (2019) and Dr. Harry Vanderspeigle in the science fiction comedy series Resident Alien. He also lent his voice to Optimus Prime in the animated series Transformers: EarthSpark.
