Thermae Romae II

In ancient Rome, architect Lucius has made a name for himself through his innovative designs of bathhouses called "thermae." Commissioned to build a thermae within the Colosseum to aid recovering gladiators, he finds himself facing numerous challenges. Strangely, these difficulties lead him to time-travel to modern day Japan, where he encounters Manami once again – she is now a magazine reporter covering bathroom-related topics. With the assistance of an ancient Japanese tribe known for their flat faces, Lucius sets about designing another groundbreaking thermae. As Emperor Hadrian attempts to maintain peace through his architectural creation and the Senate pushes for expansion using force, Rome stands divided amidst this political conflict. This intriguing story blends historical drama with time travel and cultural exploration, as well as delving into the importance of harmony and innovation in both ancient and modern societies.
