In the sleepy town of Comfort, Texas, a community devoted to the Horizon Bible Church gathers annually for an intense summer camp experience that brings together devout teenagers from across the country. The strictly regimented schedule includes mandatory prayer sessions and supervised activities as part of their spiritual journey. With thunderstorms looming on the horizon, the organizers make a precautionary move to bring the camp attendees home early, hoping to outrun the approaching weather.However, Mother Nature has other plans. As the storm hits with unrelenting force, it causes a river to rise at an alarming rate, trapping the busses that were supposed to transport the group back to their homes. Faced with no choice but to flee on foot, the campers and adult staff members must navigate treacherous terrain in search of safety.The ensuing race against time is captured from above by a curious news helicopter, which also reveals the danger that lurks nearby: the swollen river has become an unpredictable force of nature, threatening to wash away anything – and anyone – in its path. As one bus veers off into unknown territory, the group's survival hangs precariously in the balance as they desperately seek refuge amidst the chaos.
