The Pearl

In a small coastal village, fisherman Quino and his wife Juana struggle to make ends meet while caring for their sick son Coyotito, who has been bitten by a venomous scorpion. Despite the town's foreign doctor's unwillingness to treat their child due to unpaid debts, a miraculous turn of events occurs when Quino stumbles upon an extraordinary pearl while fishing. Fearing that this newfound treasure may bring them nothing but hardship, Juana implores her husband to return the precious gem back to the ocean from where it came. As tensions rise and their dire situation worsens, the couple must decide whether to cling onto hope or face the consequences of their decision in a world filled with adversity and uncertainty.
