However, fate has other plans as their well-laid schemes unravel one by one, exposing the group's vulnerabilities and exposing the flawed nature of their ambitions. In spite of the mounting mishaps, they press on towards the distant bunker, each member harboring their own motivations for pursuing the treasure.Ultimately, their quest comes to a dramatic conclusion as they return to Copenhagen aboard a train, with Egon racing alongside them in his stolen car on an adjacent road.
