The Strange Ones

Elisabeth and Paul lead an insular existence after a snowball fight leaves Paul injured, forcing them to retreat from their community. As an escape, they create an intricate alternate world within their home, shaping it to suit their desires and filling the void left by their isolation. Their idyllic fantasy is tainted, however, as undercurrents of jealousy and malice bubble beneath the surface of their sibling relationship. The arrival of enigmatic Agathe further disrupts this fragile harmony when Elisabeth invites her into their home. Despite Paul's initial reluctance, he finds himself drawn to the intriguing outsider, and a complicated love triangle emerges in their closed-off world. As their dreams unravel, they confront the harsh realities of human nature and begin to question whether their self-constructed sanctuary can truly protect them from the outside world.
