Bicentennial Man

In "Bicentennial Man," we follow the extraordinary journey of Andrew, a seemingly ordinary NDR-114 robot brought into the Martin household as a gift for Richard Martin. The youngest member of the family, enamored by their new acquisition, names him after themselves - "Andrew". At first, Andrew is merely a machine designed to assist with daily chores and tasks around the house. However, as time goes on, Andrew's programming evolves in unforeseen ways, granting him emotions and creative thought, setting him apart from the ordinary robots of his time.The family soon realizes that they are not just owners of an advanced household appliance but rather a sentient being with aspirations, dreams, and desires that challenge societal norms surrounding artificial intelligence. Through Andrew's eyes, we explore themes of humanity, identity, and the struggle for acceptance as he seeks to navigate his place in a rapidly changing world where robots are seen merely as tools, not beings deserving of empathy or compassion.
