Down Periscope

In this gripping drama, Lieutenant Commander Tom Dodge is a skilled seaman with an unconventional approach to naval operations. Despite his non-traditional methods, he dreams of commanding a nuclear submarine and is given one final opportunity to prove himself and rehabilitate his career. His path is riddled with obstacles as Admiral Graham, his adversary, tries to sabotage Dodge's chances at success. To undermine him, Graham assigns Dodge to the run-down Stingray - a diesel-powered submarine from World War II that barely stays afloat. Additionally, Dodge must lead a crew of eccentric and error-prone individuals who struggle to function as a cohesive unit. As if these challenges weren't enough, Dodge is tasked with participating in a crucial war game where his team has been designated the enemy. Navigating through this high-stakes scenario will test Dodge's leadership skills and determination, as he battles adversaries both within and outside his own ranks.
