In an unnervingly advanced future world, a network of subterranean prisons, collectively known as "The Fortress," have replaced traditional incarceration systems by employing cutting-edge technology for maximum control over inmates. This high-tech detention center is operated by a faceless corporation that utilizes computer-controlled surveillance, dream readers to monitor thoughts, and remotely administer devices capable of inflicting pain or death. John, an unassuming convict, finds himself confined within these walls alongside his illegally pregnant wife Karen. Together, they forge a plan to escape before the birth of their child, driven by the hope that they can provide a better life for their unborn in a society seemingly bent on eroding human rights and dignity.
