Yannick, an aspiring filmmaker, relocates to a secluded town for his studies, only to find himself embroiled in a twisted game of survival. After stumbling upon the Beaulieu residence while bleeding from a bicycle accident, he encounters Jacques Beaulieu, an enigmatic and righteous psychopath who sees the world through a chessboard lens. In an unexpected turn, Yannick is subjected to cruel treatment, manipulated by Beaulieu to play his sick game: win at chess or face dire consequences.
