Stepmom’s Desire

The film revolves around the complex dynamics of a family that becomes increasingly entangled in a web of desires and misguided intentions. Sang-jin, consumed by jealousy at witnessing his neighbor's seemingly perfect marriage, sets off a chain of events when he arranges for Gian, his wife's friend, to become their son's extracurricular teacher. However, when he accidentally stumbles upon Gian showering, Sang-jin finds himself unable to resist the urge to pursue her sexually, setting him on a path that will alter the course of his family's life.Meanwhile, Ji-an and Jin-hee, Sang-jin's wife and daughter respectively, are both disillusioned with their husband and father's shortcomings. They see Gian as an opportunity to extract financial gain from her connection to the family, but their plan goes awry when they discover Sang-jin's affair with Gian. The situation spirals further out of control when Bin-jin, the young son, becomes enamored with his new stepmother and seeks to establish a closer relationship with her.The film explores themes of desire, greed, and the consequences of our actions on those around us. As each character's motivations collide, their relationships become strained, and they must confront the messy reality of their once-idyllic family unit.
