Johnny Kapahala: Back on Board

Johnny Kapahala, an accomplished snowboarder from Vermont, finds himself immersed in the world of surfing and mountain boarding when he travels to Hawaii for his grandfather's wedding. Upon arrival, Johnny meets Uncle Chris, a young boy who resents the marriage and is more interested in joining a local mountain boarding crew led by an antagonistic teenager. As Johnny settles into his new surroundings, his grandfather and step-grandmother open a surf shop that also caters to mountain boarders, igniting a rivalry with the owner of a nearby competing store who seeks their downfall. Navigating family dynamics, overcoming bullies, and fighting for small business survival become Johnny's challenges in this story set against the stunning backdrop of Hawaiian waves and mountains.
