In this poignant drama, 'Ben' experiences an abrupt shift in his life after a severe swimming pool accident leaves him as an incomplete quadriplegic. He finds himself in a rehabilitation center where he encounters other individuals grappling with their own disabilities - from tetraplegics and paraplegics dealing with the fallout of accidents, to someone who has lived with a handicap since childhood. The film delves into the emotional turmoil of impotence, despair, and resignation as these characters battle daily struggles like regaining finger movement or learning to hold a fork again. Some begin to regain some mobility, while others receive the grim reality of lifelong confinement. Amidst the challenges, hope and friendships emerge to provide solace and strength in their journey towards acceptance and resilience.
