In 1975, a massive 200-ton blue whale washes ashore on an Australian beach, sparking excitement and curiosity among the local children who regard this as the most incredible event in their lives. Unbeknownst to them, a quiet suburban street is preparing for its own dramatic spectacle behind closed doors: a wife-swapping key party where married couples are ready to explore their newfound liberation and participate in the sexual revolution of the time. However, much like the decomposition of the whale on the beach, this clandestine affair is bound to unravel with spectacularly disastrous results.
