In a gritty working-class suburb in London, we follow the resilient journey of a quick-witted 12-year-old girl who has been fending for herself amidst tough circumstances. To survive and keep social services at bay, she pretends to live with an imaginary uncle while actually residing alone in her flat. Alongside her loyal best friend Ali, they embark on daring bike thefts to make ends meet. Their seemingly stable life takes a turn when the girl's estranged father mysteriously returns, forcing her to confront the harsh reality of her situation and reconsider her precarious existence.
