Following years of separation, Jack travels to the isolated landscapes of New Zealand to mourn his mother’s passing. He finds himself navigating an uneasy truce with Jill, her grieving widow, in a secluded rural home. However, the expected solemnity quickly unravels as unsettling events begin – manifestations suggesting his mother's presence refuses to depart. As night descends, Jack and Jill find themselves inexplicably swapping bodies, trapped within a bizarre cycle of possession that escalates into a dangerous game of survival.
