While I do appreciate the innovative idea of a cat-and-mouse chase set on the most romantic night of the year, the film fails to deliver on multiple fronts.
Firstly, the acting is so over-the-top it makes a B-grade horror flick seem like an Academy Award performance. The protagonists’ desperate attempts at convincing the police they’re not the killers are laughable, mainly due to their lackluster performance.
Secondly, there are plot holes big enough to drive a truck through, making it difficult to take this ‘thriller’ seriously. How exactly two co-workers become mistaken for a couple by an elusive serial killer is beyond me, but the script seems determined to make us believe it.
