While the plot presents deep emotional conflicts, the movie is yet to be released, making it challenging to gauge its overall quality and effectiveness in delivering a horror thriller experience.
“Pengantin Iblis” tries to explore deep themes of love and sacrifice, but the overused premise of a mother making a deal with the devil feels stale and predictable, earning it a low 3/10 rating.

The film effectively uses suspense to keep viewers on edge while simultaneously drawing them deeper into Ranti’s plight. Moreover, the subtlety with which supernatural elements are incorporated lends an air of authenticity to the narrative that sets this movie apart from other films in the genre.

“Pengantin Iblis” boasts impressive direction and cinematography, with the film’s atmospheric visuals effectively conveying a sense of impending doom. The pacing is well-managed, allowing for both tension-filled moments and character development without feeling rushed or drawn out. However, some viewers may find the narrative somewhat predictable, as the themes of sacrifice and moral dilemma have been explored extensively in similar horror and thriller films. Overall, I would give it a rating of 7 out of 10 due to its strong technical aspects and engaging storyline despite some familiar tropes.
Pengantin Iblis left me in utter shock and awe, deeply moved by its powerful portrayal of love, sacrifice, and the depths one would go to protect their family. The film’s atmosphere is intense, with moments of sheer horror that are balanced by touching emotional scenes. It’s an incredible rollercoaster ride that leaves you breathless.
The storyline itself is masterfully crafted. Ranti’s character is the epitome of a devoted mother and wife, her unwavering love for her child driving every decision she makes. The desperation and heartache she faces when tragedy strikes are palpable, making it nearly impossible not to empathize with her plight.
What truly sets Pengantin Iblis apart, however, is its soundtrack. Hauntingly beautiful, the music complements the film perfectly, accentuating key moments and eliciting a range of emotions from the audience. It adds an extra layer to the narrative, enhancing the movie-going experience tenfold.
In terms of rating, Pengantin Iblis earns a solid 15 out of 10 in my book. A true testament to the power of storytelling, it’s a film that will leave a lasting impression on anyone who watches it. “Pengantin Iblis” explores a mother’s desperate quest to save her disabled child by making a pact with the devil. While the premise is intriguing, the execution falls short due to subpar acting from the unknown cast and a cliched plot. The film could have been more impactful had it focused on character development and deeper emotional struggles instead of relying on worn-out horror tropes. Overall, it’s a mediocre watch with a 6/10 rating.
I found “Pengantin Iblis” to be a mediocre horror-thriller that relied heavily on its premise rather than strong character development and execution. While the plotline was intriguing, it failed to fully explore Ranti’s emotional journey as she navigated her desperate decision-making process, making it difficult for the audience to truly empathize with her. Additionally, the acting felt somewhat lackluster, hindering the story’s impact and keeping viewers at a distance emotionally. Overall, “Pengantin Iblis” is a 6 out of 10 – it had potential but fell short in crucial areas.

The movie stars some unknown actors who seem to be channeling their best ‘WTF’ faces throughout the film. You can almost feel the tension as they struggle to embody characters with any semblance of consistency, but hey, who needs logic or plot progression when you have devilish dilemmas and a rating of 12? I mean, come on, who doesn’t want to watch their favorite mommy make a terrible choice while grappling with the consequences of her actions?

The film follows Ranti, a devoted mother who will stop at nothing to protect her disabled daughter, Nina. When faced with an unimaginable choice, she accepts a deal with the Devil in exchange for her daughter’s health.
The movie’s strength lies in its ability to create a suspenseful atmosphere that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats. The cinematography is top-notch, with eerie visuals and well-timed jump scares that make for an exhilarating experience. Ranti’s character development is also compelling, showcasing her transformation from a desperate mother to a woman forced to confront her own morality.
However, the film can be quite heavy-handed at times, with its themes of love and sacrifice often bordering on melodramatic. Additionally, the supporting characters lack depth, serving primarily as plot devices rather than fully fleshed-out individuals. This lack of character development makes it difficult to connect emotionally with anyone other than Ranti.
When compared to other horror, thriller films like “The Exorcist” or “Rosemary’s Baby,” “Pengantin Iblis” stands out for its unique premise and relatable protagonist. Despite its flaws, the film succeeds in delivering a gripping story that explores the lengths a mother will go to protect her child. With a solid 3.5-star rating, “Pengantin Iblis” is a worthwhile watch for fans of the genre seeking a chilling tale of love and sacrifice.
The movie “Pengantin Iblis” (2025) starring unknown actors was a somewhat disappointing watch. While the premise of Ranti making an unthinkable sacrifice for her disabled daughter does have some dramatic potential, it unfortunately falls short in execution. The acting feels amateurish, and the plotline seems to lack depth or emotional impact. It’s hard to engage with characters who seem one-dimensional and predictable. The horror and thriller aspects of the film are also not particularly memorable or spine-tingling. With a rating of 6 (Medium, Negative), I would recommend waiting for this movie to hit streaming platforms before investing time in it.
