A Mess in the House

In war-torn Zagreb during World War II, a young female resistance fighter finds herself on the run with one of the communist officials she's been assisting. They manage to evade capture but not without tragedy; her husband is killed in the process. The couple has left behind their small infant who is now at risk as the police aim to use the child as bait for capturing the fugitives. When the neighborhood children learn of this situation, they boldly decide to steal away the baby in an effort to protect him from harm. What follows is a tense game of cat and mouse between the determined police force and the resourceful residents of Zagreb as they attempt to shield the innocent child from danger, all while grappling with the harsh realities of war and the human spirit's unwavering resilience in times of adversity.
