Gator McKlusky, once a notorious ex-con with a talent for moonshine distillation, is now attempting to rebuild his life in a humble cabin nestled within the depths of Okefenokee Swamp. His plans to resurrect his bootlegging business are met with an unexpected twist when he learns from a federal agent that unless he aids in dismantling the local crime lord Bama McCall's empire, he will lose custody of his young daughter. Grappling with personal redemption and fatherly duty, Gator enlists the help of an earnest reporter named Aggie Maybank, as well as a colorful group of eccentrics from the swamp, in this intricate game of cat-and-mouse to bring McCall's criminal enterprise to its knees.
