The story revolves around a formerly illustrious film director from the golden age of Hollywood. Set in the early 1930s, our protagonist is struggling to come to terms with the dramatic shift that the film industry has undergone since the advent of talkies. Unwilling to adapt and embrace change, he retreats into his dilapidating mansion, where he continues to make films in the style he knows best - silent movies. However, this time, there is a twist; he chooses to direct explicit adult content, perhaps as a last desperate attempt to regain former glories or simply as an act of rebellion against the new norms of cinema. The movie explores themes of nostalgia, denial and the impact of technological advancements on art. It's not just a story about a director clinging on to past glory but also sheds light on how the film industry adapts (or fails to adapt) to changing times.
