GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka

In this live-action adaptation from the beloved manga, we follow Eikichi Onizuka, an unconventional high school teacher, as he rides his motorcycle into the small rural town of Horobonai in Northern Japan. After the closure of its local theme park, the community has experienced a financial decline, leaving many of its youth struggling with depression. Unafraid to challenge authority and speak his mind, Onizuka's unorthodox teaching methods initially clash with the somber atmosphere of Horobonai. However, as he fearlessly engages with both students and superiors, he manages to stir up a new sense of energy and motivation within the town. With his unique approach, which includes assertiveness and occasionally physical force, Onizuka breathes life into the stagnant community and helps its teenagers rediscover their zest for life.
