Into the Darkness

The film explores the tumultuous life of Karlskov, an affluent entrepreneur who owns a substantial electronics factory just north of Copenhagen. Alongside his loving wife and their five children, they revel in the comforts afforded by their privileged upper-class existence. However, the arrival of Nazi forces in Denmark in April 1940 dramatically alters this idyllic lifestyle.Karl, faced with maintaining both his livelihood and protecting his family and employees, is compelled to shift production towards meeting the demands of the German market. His newfound collaboration with the occupying forces sparks internal conflict as his decisions strain relationships within his household. As Karl navigates these complicated waters, his character faces a series of moral dilemmas that expose the devastating impact of war and occupation on ordinary lives.
